Nabeshki - Tawashi bundle

The nabeshki pot stand is woven from igusa rush, using the strands of grass that are too short for making tatami mats. Made in Okayama prefecture near the crafts town of Kurashiki, the workshop has been run by the same family since 1886. They make these pot trivets, bags for bottles, melon purses, and woven basket bags. This is perfect for putting those big Le Creuset’s on, teapots, donabe clay pots, or whatever you've got that's hot! It hangs beautifully in the kitchen with its loop at the top. Measures roughly 20cm wide and about 4cm thick.

The tawashi brush is a classic design, this one made with local windmill palm fibres in Wakayama.
